PotPlayer is considered to be faster and improved version of KMPlayer, and it very much is. The present KMPlayer is maintained by its owner Pandora TV while Kang Young-Huee works on its replacement, the PotPlayer. Kang Young-Huee originally developed KMPlayer in 2002, and then five years later sold it to a Korean streaming video company called Pandora TV. This powerful and advanced media player is developed by the same Korean author who wrote KMPlayer. Also supports a wide range of audio formats (including, but not limited to WAV, WMA, MP3, OGG, M4A, AAC, RA, FLAC and MOD), and recognizes several playlist formats (like M3U, ASX, PLS, WVX or CUE).PotPlayer is a freeware media player for Windows that shares its roots with KMPlayer, another very widely used open source media player.

Player contains internal codecs and there is no need to install codecs manually. Also, several skins are available so that users can match the appearance of their video player to the theme of their OS. It gives its users great control over its functions, allowing modification of the video speed, adjusting the audio volume, decrease or increase contrast and brightness. Plenty of features and rich customization. It works w/ madVR/HR/EVR and Reclock of course…it’s a much improved/faster version of KMPlayer, including ffdshow and some other stuff to connect to a Korean-only video/chat network.

Done by the same Korean author as The KMPlayer. PotPlayer is a comprehensive freeware video and audio player, that also supports TV channels, subtitles and skins. You can get DAUM PotPlayer Download from our software library for free.
